We had a very leisurely week this week. We didn't do anything exciting just the usual. We played in the backyard, went to story time and to play at the play area in the mall.

Olivia was fascinated by the bubbles. The only thing was that it was so windy, Marcus had to get up close to her for the bubbles to go anywhere near her. As soon as he would blow they would float behind him. He even tried to change direction but the bubbles still went in the opposite direction from where she was facing. She was trying to touch them with her little hands but they were just to fast for her. Marcus figured if he picked her up and I blew the bubbles, he could just hold her so that she could reach the bubbles. She enjoyed that but of course she got to be too heavy so he had to put her down.

Since she loves the grass he put her in the grass and started blowing bubbles. As you can see she was more interested in the chair bag than Marcus and the bubbles. Before he could even start to blow the bubbles she had spotted the bag and had crawled over to it. He blew them once and called her name and she ignored him. We figured out this week that she has selective hearing. She only responds when she wants to. As you can see by the last picture he finally got her attention. It was a nice day out so she didn't mind being out, but she was happy to get a clod drink of water when we went back inside.

We went to story time on Monday and Olivia fell asleep in the car on the way home. After she woke up from her nap I took her to the park. She got on the swing and we played a little with the bubbles. She wanted the wand so she could put it in the bubbles but she made such a mess. Then she refused to give me back the wand so I put the bubbles up and she held onto the wand as I pushed her home. The only reason she gave it back to me when we got home was because I gave her a cold drink of water.

This was actually taken last week at the play area in the mall but I thought it was cute so I had to upload it.
