It's been a long time

I know it's been a long time since I have blogged but we have been having computer problems. Our Laptop went from running slow to not running at all. But we have a new laptop now so I will be blogging more often. Olivia is 1 now and we took her to take some pictures. Here are some of the pictures that she took. She is such a big girl now she is talking and reading. She got YOUR BABY CAN READ for her birthday. She can read the words hi, nose, clap, and eyes. She can also say Touchdown, ma, pa, bow, down, up, cup, plane and of course no. She loves to play outside and she is walking so much better now. I will upload the pictures from her birthday party and other pictures when I get them. We still miss all our friends from North Texas and we hope that we will get a chance to come and visit soon.

IT Problems

Our computer is giving us problems so I have not been able to blog. But Olivia has turned one and she is such a big girl. We took her to take some pictures and we took a lot of pictures at her party. I will upload them as soon as I get a chance. Things have been crazy and Marcus and I will be celebrating our 3rd anniversary on Wednesday. So I will try to upload some new pics when we get back no later than next Monday. Thank you to everyone who called or emailed or sent a text to wish livi a happy birthday.

Olivia's day at the beach

There is this restaurant in Galveston that I love. The name of it is Happy Buddha and I go every time I am down there. This is the first time that Olivia has been there while awake. I thought it would be fun if I took a pic of her next to the infamous Buddha in the lobby. As you can tell it didn't quite go as planned. She was afraid of him and she would not take her eyes off of him in fear that if she did he would get her. She was climbing up my sister just to get away from him.

The reason we went to Galveston, besides Happy Buddha was to take her to the beach. I really wanted to see how she would react to a body of water that is not a pool. My mom and sister went with Marcus, Olivia, and I to the beach. I picked up a seashell to commemorate her first trip to the beach and I am going to put it in a baggie in her baby book.

Olivia liked walking on the beach and she liked looking at the water. However when I let her stand while the waves came in and they washed the sand from under her feet she did not like that. That is why the last pic is of her holding on to me for dear life to pick her up.

Crazy

The past few weeks have been crazy. We have moved and been trying to get settled in. We miss all our friends in Dallas, but it is nice to see our Houston friends and family. The bad thing about the move is the weather. Dallas actually has four seasons but the same can't be said for Houston.It has gotten up to 99 at least twice since we have been here. Marcus and I are going to take livi to my hometown or should I say home island, Galveston so she can see the beach. It should be fun to see how she reacts and I can go but some of my favorite spots. We haven't found any little friends for livi to play with yet but we will be looking. It will be weird to be the new kids on the block. I haven't taken a lot of pics since we have been here but here are the ones we have taken.

I finally got Olivia to put on the tutu correctly. She walked around the house in that tutu for a hour. I took her outside to take some better pictures but she kept picking up leaves and getting them stuck to the tutu. I think she looks too cute in it don't you?

Ladies lunching and a little more

This week we went to Chipotle with Madalyn and Lana for lunch. I think the girls really enjoyed it. Olivia had a black bean soft taco and she ate half of it. She really loves all kinds of beans, but daddy doesn't like what happens after she eats them. Also she has been drinking out of a straw for about 3 months now so I decided to buy her the small organic juice boxes and she loves them. After lunch we all went shopping at buy buy baby, because Madalyn needed a new car seat. As soon as we walked in the door I saw the cutest little tutus on sale and I had to get one for Olivia. While we were looking at the tutus we noticed the Halloween costumes and Madalyn tried on a chick. Also Livi's two top teeth are finally budding but I don't have any pictures of that, as soon as I do I will upload them.
